One early July morn as I watched the dawn,<\/p>\n
The skies were a mighty sight,<\/p>\n
Rain laden clouds , all ready to pour,<\/p>\n
In shades of grey black & white,<\/p>\n
The mountains stood tall like huge green walls,<\/p>\n
Guardians of ages bygone,<\/p>\n
Sentinels of strength,of forbearance,<\/p>\n
Giants who had seen it all,<\/p>\n
The lush forests that lined the horizon,<\/p>\n
Where every shade of green was frozen,<\/p>\n
Into timeless beauties what we call trees,<\/p>\n
Mother natures air factories,<\/p>\n
Amidst this beautiful sight sat colourful cosy homes,<\/p>\n
In it people abuzz with morning chores,<\/p>\n
Some aware & some oblivious to natures perennial course,<\/p>\n
As i sat watching this beautiful scene, sipping my morning tea,<\/p>\n
A little guy, a tiny fly came & descended upon my knee,<\/p>\n
“Hi Mr. fly” i said to him, ” how do you do today?<\/p>\n
Do tell me, whats the gain from your aimless flutter all day?”<\/p>\n
“Wonderful day to you my lady” he said,<\/p>\n
“I wish you a joyous day”<\/p>\n
“There’s nothing to gain, lest my flutter be in vain,<\/p>\n
This is what i do best, that’s how i am made”,<\/p>\n
Saying thus he took off to sit on another spot,<\/p>\n
Totally oblivious to the effects**<\/p>\n
his aimless fluttering had caused,<\/p>\n
Is that all? I wondered, is it so simple?<\/p>\n
Suddenly seemed pointless, mans worries & wrinkles,<\/p>\n
Then i sat and pondered, looking around at natures wonder,<\/p>\n
Birds flowers insects the bees,<\/p>\n
The mountains rivers & gentle streams,<\/p>\n
The air the sky the animals free,<\/p>\n
The abundance of natures bounty,<\/p>\n
Little does a droplet of water know when it collects in a cloud,<\/p>\n
That its meant to do great things,<\/p>\n
That when it pours down as rain with many of its kind,<\/p>\n
Will flow a mighty river down a mountain,<\/p>\n
All creation that ever happened is all there for a reason,<\/p>\n
But the simple truth for us to see is,<\/p>\n
All we need to do is JUST BE,<\/p>\n
No need to compare & live in despair,<\/p>\n
Trying to become what was not meant to be,<\/p>\n
My heart is full of glee from the lesson the fly taught me –<\/p>\n
“I Am What I Am And That’s All I Need To Be”<\/p>\n
